Corns All In A Row

The Maryland State Fair, which happens in mid-August, is one of the most anticipated events here in Maryland.  It goes for about a week and attracts so many visitors, even non-Marylanders as well (more than half a million each year).  Aside from the usual rides, farmers get to show off their most precious crops and plants of the season, not to mention, their most cherished farm animals, too.

There’s always a competition for the biggest crop, the healthiest fruit, the sweetest honey, the most productive cow, etc. They also have a photo contest which hubbie and I always promised ourselves to join but we would always forget when the deadline is.  Hopefully, this year, we’d remember to do so.
